Delete Your SeFu Account
This page explains how to permanently delete your SeFu account and all associated data.

How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the SeFu app
- Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left
- Tap Settings
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete my account
- Confirm your decision
Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 7 days.
Option 2: Email request
If you cannot access the app:
- Email support@sefu.app from the email address associated with your account
- Subject line: Delete my account
- Include any identifying information (such as the email you used to sign up)
We will verify your identity and delete your account within 7 days of receiving the request.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your user profile (age range, profession, focus areas, interests, goals, preferences)
- Your weekly challenge assignments and history
- Your bonus challenges and daily micro-challenge records
- Your reflections and notes
- Your progress data (streaks, levels, completion records)
- Your notification preferences
- Your account credentials
What Data May Be Retained
We may retain limited records for legal and accounting purposes:
- Billing records: Subscription transaction history may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with US tax obligations
- Anonymized usage statistics: May be kept indefinitely but cannot be linked back to you
This retention is required by law and is not used to identify or track you.
Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription.
To cancel an active subscription:
- iPhone: Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → SeFu → Cancel
- Android: Google Play Store → tap profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → SeFu → Cancel
You should cancel your subscription before deleting your account to avoid being charged after deletion.
